Experience

 Dave Townsend has over 38 years of experience in manual and automated machining processes. 

He served a five year apprenticeship with the British Gas Corporation and graduated with distinction in Machining Processes from Brighton Technical College.  He was instrumental in setting up C.N.C. Machining at Gaskell and Chambers where he attained the position of Machine Shop Manager.  He moved onto Clifford and Snell as the Machine Shop Manager there until he emigrated to the United States in 1987.  He joined Baron Machine Shop in Laconia NH initially operating manual machines then moving up to lead person for the C.N.C. Lathe Department.  He served seven years as the Production Superintendent.  He has had several other machine shop experiences and has had many hours of carpentry and home renovation experience.  His former sole proprietorship of Assured Restorations has been rolled into the Acclaimed Creations LLC practice.

Dave is happiest with "hands on" work which allows him to demonstrate fine quality of work and attention to detail he demands from himself.  He is supported by his wife Diane on the administrative side.

Accomplishments

Dave is very proud to have achieved citizenship and he was part of the naturalization ceremony July 4, 2006 at Strawbery Banke, Portsmouth NH along with over 200 others from over 50 nations!  (Dave calls July 4th his new "birthday" but if you ask him to spell his name it will still sound like DIVAD, thus the nickname "DIVE" - Just ask him to speak "American" and he will laugh.

Dave has been a licensed Realtor for five years and attained GRI designation in 2006.  He also is the Associate Broker at Reed Elwell Realtor and his wife Diane is a Realtor as well.  Working with first time homebuyers is very rewarding.

Dave and Diane both enjoy fishing, the rural seacoast beaches in Maine, gardening and local travel around New Hampshire.  They have taken classes together at the Community Technical College and Adult Education as well as day seminars with NH Forestry Division and they are Treasurer and Secretary respectively of Custom Business Solutions work group through MicroCredit NH Lincoln NH site.  They plan to build a home in Thornton NH where they can also build a machine shop at the same location.
